Urban Fine Art Fave - "Jazmine: Alluring & Glamorous"

PORTRAITURE

Jazmine is a very beautiful woman. So contouring light to accentuate her beauty was not a difficult task.

In this portrait I was able to capitalize on the black backdrop and the moody direction of the lighting. Jazmine continued to allow the camera to capture the intimacy and the vulnerability. The R&B music I was playing offered some assistance as well. :)

Urban Fine Art Fave - "Sarah (of Poetik Soul) #2"

PORTRAITURE

I can not front, this portrait of Sarah is HOT! Normally I do not tilt the camera. I often feel like it doesn't look right. However while on the tracks I decided to take a few tilted shots.

It was such a pleasure working with Tennia and Sarah during this Poetik Soul photo shoot. I am so happy this year they will be releasing their debut album, "The Unlikely".

Oh yeah, big shout-out to Andrea Karen who took care of the Make-up and Hair. She killed it. I love her work and her artistic insight on location.

Urban Fine Art Fave - "Jazmine: Up Close & Personal"

PORTRAITURE

I had been looking forward to photographing Jazmine for quite some time. She is very beautiful and her eyes are great storytellers.

This past weekend we were able to make it work and the photo shoot was so much fun.

There were numerous shots I got but I decided to share this one. I like the intimacy, the simplicity, and the silver tone. I call this "Up Close & Personal".

Urban Fine Art Fave - "Sarah (of Poetik Soul)"

PORTRAITURE

The photo shoot with Poetik Soul produced amazing photos. I would share more of them with you but I want Poetik Soul to enjoy some exclusivity in sharing their photos with their debut album set to release in January 2011.

That being said I decided to take a beautiful studio portrait of Sarah and put an urban fine art flavoring to it. The original photo had a white seamless background before I started playing with it in my digital darkroom. I rather enjoy this rosy silver-esque coloring.

Urban Fine Art Fave - "Throw Your Veils In The Air"

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

The one word that encapsulates Eurice and John's wedding was Fun (also would say Dancing). People were dancing all night, even before the Bride and Groom were introduced.

I love this photo I caught of Eurice being demonstrative in her dance with her veil. It truly is an urban fine art portrait.

OMG Video (Eurice & John Engagement)

ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY

Right now I am editing Eurice and John's wedding photos. It dawned on me I never shared their engagement photos in an amazing way. So of course I called up my boy Usher and we put this lil video slideshow together.

Enjoy the remix of OMG via Eurice and John.

Urban Fine Art Fave - "Comic Book Love"

ENGAGEMENT

Here is the third inspired urban fine art portrait from the Engagement photo session with Eurice and John down in lower Manhattan.

The minute I saw the mural in the background I knew I wanted to use it to take a comic book style shot. Eurice and John were down for it so we had a playful time at this locale.

Urban Fine Art Fave - "Top Model"

PHOTOGRAPHY

Top Model
- Lee-Ann and I had a great headshot photo session this month in the Bronx, NY. Needless to say she had plenty of outfits so we took photos both in the studio and outdoors. With Cari in tow as an assistant, the photographing was a great and fun time.

For this portrait I decided to contrast Lee-Ann's beautiful face with a dirtier urban/grunge texture.

Urban Fine Art Fave - "Here I Am To Worship!"

PHOTOGRAPHY

Here I Am To Worship! - This portrait of Pastor Ray Serrano was taken at the inaugural celebration of Life Together Fellowship in the Bronx.

The super wide angle allows us to see the expansiveness of worship for an unlimited God for his unfailing love.

Let us embrace Jesus today with our arms wide open.

Urban Fine Art Fave - "Sunshine"

PHOTOGRAPHY

Sunshine - This is the last portrait in The-Genesis-Portrait Project.

I decided on this close-up to highlight the life, the vibrancy, the beauty and the light that Genesis shares with the world. As humans we all have this capacity. I believe we need to share more of that.

Urban Fine Art Fave - "Kimi GQ Portrait"

PHOTOGRAPHY

Kimi GQ Portrait - As a New York Headshot Photographer I had a great time shooting portraits with Kimi. The previous portraits I displayed with him were part of the "End of Road" series.

As a freelance photographer in New York, I love showcasing extraordinary people within the beauty of the urban landscape.

This photo was taken at a remote area in the Bronx.

Urban Fine Art Fave - "GOC: Worship Song Sheet"

On December 9, 2009, a group of individuals vandalized the Glory of Christ Church and then set it on fire. This is the Worship Team Song Sheet which survived that fire. Take note of the words in the middle which did not burn on this page.
