I went to high school with the three guys who run 238 Beats. The latest event they asked me to shoot was the NYC Album Release Party for the hip-hop artist Ras Kass.

Ice T was the host for the night. There were various opening artists but the one who ripped it up was a female Canadian rapper named Eternia. Her lyric flow, her stage presence, and her control of the audience was phenomenal.

This is one of my favorite photos from the shoot I did with Solomon Starr. This brother is really cool. He is an intellect, a rebel, a friend, a minister, an artist, and so much more.

I have had the opportunity to break bread with him and have real talk. I truly respect and honor him. He is a good dude.

238 Beats - Sadat X Album Release Party

EVENTS

Last month I received the call regarding photographing the Sadat X Album Release Party in midtown Manhattan. For those of you who do not know Hip Hop, Sadat X is one of the three members of Brand Nubians (along with Grand Puba and Lord Jamar). So it definitely was a night of classic and new Hip Hop.

The energy at Taj was electric as various performers took the stage to support the new album "Wild Comboys 2".

Big shout-outs to Larry, Chris, & DJ Sureshot from 238Beats. They did the promotion for the event and hooked me up with the gig.
